just hangin' out on the web

Wanna know where i go?!

Hey there – just in case you wanna know where I go….I thought I would share a list of some places you too, might find fun, interesting and worth a visit from time to time.is

Here’s a summary but you will see all the fun details below. Check some of these out….enjoy!

These days, we spend a lot of time searching the World Wide Web! It also seems like when we ‘talk’ about something, it suddenly appears. #someoneislistening In the time I spend on social media or just searching, I have found some blogs and sites that I have bookmarked. They each bring me something different and make my days brighter.

First and foremost, I have to give a shout out to Restored316. I have been a customer of their’s since about 2009. I stumbled upon them when I created my first blog. Crockett’s Corner, and have been a customer ever since. Sure, I have tried other places to purchase themes and get help. I have taken other courses and joined other Facebook groups, but this place is pretty much a ‘one and done’. Everything you need to start a blog, monetize a blog, anything blog, is here. No need to have 50 sign-ons to other places or purchase bundles that include stuff you never use. I have finally learned (about 5 years ago), they are all I need. Lauren and Lani are truly the best. And the foundation of this whole business is John 3:16. That, makes it so fitting and all the better. Lauren’s story is a good one so click the link and scroll down to her timeline. She is a real person and super, super sweet!

So anyway, I spend a lot of time on their web-site and shop, getting ideas and learning. Blogging is something I have enjoyed doing through the years but lost interest as times changed for our family and life just happened. This blog and the creation of this content has been so helpful in finding myself again. Accepting what has happened. Moving forward. And praying. Praying so hard, things all turn out ok.

If you have ever thought about a blog or even have a blog, check out Restored316 and see what Lauren and Lani can help you with.

Another place I spend too much time shopping is Love in Faith. This shop is another ‘Faith/Christian’ based business with sharing God’s word as their goal. If you click on their ‘About’ page, what you see is their mission – To uplift and bring people together by creating faith-based products that serve as a testament to everything Jesus has done. I’m in! And my closet proves it, ha! From long sleeves, short sleeves, holidays, sweatshirts, jean jackets. All. The. Things.

My sister bought me my first shirt and there was no turning back. Our husbands think we are crazy but…..their prices are so reasonable. I have looked elsewhere but no way…..the other shops charge double and triple what Love in Faith does. They even have some mens shirts. They run specials constantly (that you can’t turn down) and are always adding new designs. They are a ‘must’ if you too, love to flaunt some Jesus around town.

Movin’ on….we frequent our local Farm/Produce/Nursery on at least a weekly basis. You might wonder how this ranks on this page. A Farm…but friends, this is more than a produce stand. These are my friends. These friends pray for me. All. The. Time. Now, granted, we do get everything from fruits to veggies. To mums to gourds. Christmas Trees. Spring & Summer flowers. Just all the things. But what I love most about visiting this local place is the conversation. The chit chat. The prayers we share. The owners have been family friends for 60+ years but I didn’t really get to know them, closely until the past few years. Nancy spoke at a funeral we went to and I saw a whole different lady. I even made a comment that if I had a funeral, I would want her to speak. She was great and tied everything together so nicely. (Note. I am not having a funeral). After that, when I started making our run for our weekly meals, I started talking to her more. I was able to confide in her about some things and she prays for me. For my famiily. And I pray for her. We catch up on events of the week and what’s up and coming. We share texts with pictures of meals we have made with their produce. We have such a special friendship, I so enjoy our talks. We hug each other and say “I Love You!”. 🤟 And my point in telling you this is because people you need can be found anywhere! At the produce stand. At the grocery store. In the coffee shop. And just by talking with people, you have an opportunity to share the word. And show your ‘love like Jesus’ which will be evident as you talk and get to know people. God puts people in our life for a reason. We just need to figure out exactly what that reason is 😀.

The last one I will share for now is Broken Until Now. I stumbled upon this blog by Ashley but felt like it wasn’t really an accident, God guided my hands to stop there. To read and understand her story and allow some of her words to resinate with me. She has certainly been through a lot in her young age but used all her past to build her future. She has so much to share and offer and even has written some books.

This is a quote straight from her blog – “You get home after a hard day full of pain and frustration. You feel alone and empty, and you’re ready to quit. You stop where you are, take off your shoes, and throw them with such anger, feeling completely defeated. But suddenly you realize, you’re not alone at all. God’s there, and he picks up your shoes, gently handing them back to you. In a soft, calming voice he asks, “Are you ready? Because I’m not finished with you yet.”

If you have a minute, hop over there and check her out because face it, we have all felt like this!
