Send Me, Lead Me, Teach Me.

When I made a commitment to step into God’s calling, it started with three simple but powerful statements: Send me. Lead me. Teach me. These words aren’t just about me and my mission but more a posture of surrender for every believer who wants to live on mission with Jesus.

Send Me

Isaiah once heard God’s voice ask, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” His response was simple: “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8). That’s the heartbeat of this blog and my missionary journey—being willing to step out of the familiar, the comfortable, and the predictable, and say “Yes” to God’s assignment. Saying send me doesn’t mean I always know where He will take me. It means I trust that wherever He sends me, He goes with me.

Lead Me

Being sent is just the beginning. Once my feet are moving, I need God to lead every single step. Proverbs reminds me, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:6). As part of this journey, I will walk into unknown cultures, languages, and challenges. Asking God to lead me is choosing His direction over my own instincts. It’s saying, “Lord, I don’t just want to go—I want to go the way You’re guiding.”

Teach Me

Finally, every mission field is also a classroom. God doesn’t just send me to share my insights with others; He sends me to be taught as well. Through relationships, hardships, victories, and even failures, He shapes me into being a deeper, more focused disciple. When I pray teach me, I am opening my hearts to continual growth—learning humility, learning dependence, and learning how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.

Living the Prayer

Send me. Lead me. Teach me.
This is not only the cry of a missionary; it’s the invitation of every Christian life. Whether you’re serving across the ocean or across the street, God longs for hearts that are willing to go, willing to be guided, and willing to be transformed.

So today, maybe that’s your prayer too:
“Lord, send me into the lives of those who need Your love. Lead me in the paths I could never find on my own. Teach me to serve with humility, boldness, and joy. My life is Yours.”
