Burdens turned into Strength
Life has a way of placing burdens on our hearts. Sometimes they come quietly through daily worries, and sometimes they arrive suddenly through hardships we never expected. I have learned that no matter how heavy those burdens feel, I was never meant to carry them alone.
God has promised to always be with us. That promise has become an anchor in my life.
There have been many times when I tried to carry things on my own. I would worry, overthink, and try to fix everything myself. Question what was happening. Cry until I fell asleep. But every time I did that, the weight only felt heavier. Over time, God has been teaching me something important: my strength comes from giving my burdens to Him.
Each day I try to place everything in God’s hands — my worries, my struggles, my plans, and even the things I cannot understand. I remind myself often, “His will, not mine.” When I surrender my burdens to Him, I feel a peace that I cannot create on my own. I also pray before I even get out of bed for God to give me the wisdow to follow his lead. Make the right decisions. Do the right things.
It doesn’t mean life suddenly becomes easy. Challenges still come, and some days are harder than others. Sometimes even the nights seem long and lonely. But when I trust God with my burdens, I no longer feel like I am carrying them alone. I know He is walking beside me through every step.
What once felt like heavy burdens have slowly become places where my faith has grown stronger. The things that once weighed me down have helped me learn patience, trust, and dependence on God. I have realized that sometimes God allows burdens in our lives not to break us, but to draw us closer to Him and strengthen our faith.
Every time I place my burdens into God’s hands, I am reminded that He is faithful. He sees every struggle, every worry, and every silent prayer. And through it all, He continues to guide me, strengthen me, and remind me that I am never alone.
My goal each day is simple:
To trust God more, surrender my burdens to Him, and follow His will instead of my own.
Because when I do that, what once felt like burdens become reminders of God’s strength working in my life.
I have included some scriptures that I have come to know, love and say out loud often. I hope they can help you too. 🫶🏼
- “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28
- This verse is one of the clearest invitations from Jesus. When I feel overwhelmed, He calls me to bring my burdens to Him. He doesn’t ask me to carry them alone.
- “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7
- This verse reminds us that giving our burdens to God isn’t weakness – it is trust. God cares deeply about every concern we carry.
- “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
- This a powerful reminder of God’s promise: He is always with us and gives us strength when we feel weak.
- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
- This verse connects beautifully with “His will, not mine.” which is what I live by. Trusting God means surrendering control.
- “Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.” – Psalm 55:22
- This verse perfectly reflects the idea of placing our burdens into God’s hand and allowing him to sustain us. I have been shaken over and over but every time adjust my thoughts and refocus. God has this, I tell myself.
- “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
- Sometimes the burdens we carry are exacdtly where God shows His strength the most. Our weakness becomes the place where His power shines.
- “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9
- This verse reminds us that God’s presence is constant. No matter where life leads, He walks with us. This is so important in my life right now. But I trust him. He will not fail.
God’s Word reminds us again and again that we were never meant to carry life’s burdens alone. He invites us to bring them to Him, promising strength, guidance, and His constant presence.

Thanks for stopping by. Blessings to you! –Bev
