Mostly what God Does by Savannah Guthrie

I love to read. Mostly intentional books that will provide me with something I may or may not already know. Reading is Learning. Among the books on the shelves is Mostly What God Does by Savannah Guthrie, a thoughtful reflection on how God’s love, grace, and presence show up in our everyday lives.

Savannah writes with honesty and warmth, reminding us that faith isn’t about having all the answers but about trusting God’s character. Her words encourage me to notice God in the ordinary moments and to trust that His goodness is present in the small details of life. NOTE: At the time this was written, Savannah’s Mom has been missing for over a month. I can’t help but wonder if her strong faith is providing her peace and comfort. And if this book is coming to life with regard trusting God even when there are no answers. I have been praying for her and her family every day. I just can’t imagine going through something like this.

If you have already read this here’s some questions to think about –

  • Did this book make you feel inspired or just slightly guilty?
  • Be honest – did you read it straight through or skip around?
  • Which part made you go’ ok, I needed to hear that”?
  • Did Savannah feel more like a friend chatting or a life coach in this?
  • Any moments where you were like “wow, she really put that into words”?
  • Did it make you want to get your life together for ….10 minutes? 😀
  • If you had to describe the book in three words, what would they be?

Check back for my answers! You can find the link to this book and others here.

Thanks for stopping by. Blessings to you! –Bev
