Strength in the Struggle

I am amazed when people I am around quickly share a verse/scripture that is so fitting for the situation. I laugh and tell them I want to be like them when I grow up. But it’s true. I want to be that person that when someone shares a struggle with me I can provide comfort by sharing scripture from the Bible that provides comfort and understanding. So this study is perfect for learning. Each of the 10-lesson Bible study includes a verse to memorize. The verse is key to that particular lesson. I write it on a card, take a screen shot and say it over and over. These verses are explored within their biblical and historical context so readers can understand their meaning and apply them to everyday life. The lessons include commentary, thoughtful discussion questions, prayer prompts, and creative hand-lettered illustrations that help participants remember important passages of Scripture.

Obviously, one of the main themes of Strength in the Struggle is learning to release fear and anxiety to God. I struggle with anxiety but have gotten better. When I feel like I have too much on my plate…the unknown…..just every day stuff that feels overwhelming, anxiety sets in. I have done so much better over the past few months, practicing Prayer over Panic. Not joining a ‘circus’ I don’t belong in. Staying in my lane. Honestly practicing what I am learning from a very close friend of mine. The world often offers temporary ways to cope with stress, but this Bible study emphasizes that true peace and strength come from the gospel and from trusting Jesus. As readers grow in their confidence in Christ and His Word, they learn to face life’s challenges with faith instead of fear.

Another important focus of the study is helping believers apply Scripture to their daily thoughts and actions. Rather than simply reading Bible verses, the workbook encourages reflection, prayer, and personal application. This helps participants deepen their understanding of God’s promises and see how Scripture speaks directly into their struggles.

Overall, Strength in the Struggle reminds readers that struggles are a part of life, but they do not have to face them alone. Through God’s Word, believers can find hope, courage, and strength even during difficult seasons. By trusting in Christ and meditating on Scripture, individuals can grow spiritually and experience the peace that comes from relying on God rather than their own strength.
