It’s the Little Things: Finding Joy in Bible Reading

I always say—making Bible reading fun matters. 💛

For me, it’s the little things… highlighters, washi tape, stickers, my Faith Tog printer—and now my Bible tassel.

And the DETAILS of the Tassel… 🥹
The beads that say “Prayer.”
The cross.
The colors—absolutely perfect.

There’s just something special about adding beauty and personality to your time in the Word. And honestly, supporting a small Etsy shop that even included a handwritten thank-you note? That made it even better.

I’m not that talented, but I can’t help thinking about the woman who made this just for me. She cut every piece of yarn, every string, every little detail—knowing it would bring someone joy. I can’t help but wonder about her story too. Did she just wake up one day and think, I want to make something beautiful for someone’s Bible?

Or did life take her through a hard season, and this became her way of healing?

We may never know… but what I do know is that everyone has a story and a purpose. And somehow, hers is bringing so much joy to people like me.

That just means something.

And I already know… the moment I pull this out at church, I’m going to get questions. 😀✨

Little joys, big impact.

And what’s even better is how this tassel ties to the Bible. It made me think about the tassels mentioned in Scripture. In Numbers 15:38-39, God told His people to wear tassels as a reminder to follow Him.

And in the New Testament, people even reached out to touch the hem of Jesus’ garment—believed to include those very tassels—and were healed (Matthew 9:20-22).

There’s something powerful about that… how even the smallest detail can carry such deep meaning and connection to faith.
